National Congress of Black Women

Kansas City Chapter

WHO WE ARE

We are a powerful network of women committed to leadership, advocacy, and community impact. Through education, civic engagement, and economic empowerment, we create opportunities that uplift women, youth, and families across Kansas City.

Our mission is simple yet transformative: to improve the educational, economic, social, and political status of Black women and their families while serving as a strong, nonpartisan voice for change.

YOUR VOICE, OUR POWER

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 – “YOUR VOICE, OUR POWER” Social Action Campaign is a non-partisan inclusive civic opportunity for women of color, youth, communities, and allies to learn, act and lead. Through collaborative community organizing efforts and solution-driven activities, the local community at-large becomes a unified voice. The 7-month social action campaign transforms action into specific outcomes.

The Social Action Campaign Kick-off will publicly announce and discuss the social action campaign initiative, recognize collaborators and community partners, and provide a sign up for various ways you can get involved and actively participate.

OUR PROGRAMS

At the National Congress of Black Women – Kansas City Chapter, our programs are designed to create opportunity, build leadership, and strengthen the foundation of our communities. Each initiative is rooted in our commitment to empowering Black women and uplifting the next generation through education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.

From supporting aspiring business owners to investing in students and creating spaces for connection and growth, our programs are intentional, impactful, and community-driven. We don’t just provide resources—we create pathways for lasting change.
